As we each travel along our individual Hero’s or Heroine’s Journey, we encounter the trials and
tribulations that create opportunities for our learning and growth. If we allow ourselves to be
defined by these challenges as a victim, we may find ourselves stuck in a painful and recurring
situation. It is not necessary that our challenges and traumas endlessly define us. Instead, we
can choose to face the dragons on our Hero’s Journey. When we do, Spirit responds by leading
us out of the darkness and providing us with all the ideas, resources, people and places that we
need to transform the situation and ourselves.
Many times our homes are places where we encounter these trials and tribulations. Imagine
the power and freedom of shifting our perception to considering our H.O.M.E. as a place where
Healing Opportunities Manifest Everywhere! It could be as simple as replacing the question,
“What’s wrong with you?” with “What happened to you?” We replace judgment with
compassion, understanding and love, the Divine Gifts that will sustain us through any challenge.
